Principle #1 – When tragedy strikes it’s okay to mourn (Esther 4:1).

Principle #2 – Your king invites you and your tears into his presence (Esther 4:2–3).

Principle #3 – When you face overwhelming difficulties in your life (or in your church) it is appropriate for you to fast and seek God’s face (Esther 4:4–16).

Principle #4 – Take your hands off your life and put your life into the hands of God (Esther 4:16b).

Principle #5 – Esther 4 leaves us yearning and longing for a perfect mediator (Esther 4:17).
