Jay Z, Kaepernick, NFL, 'Inspire Change' apparel, Black Migrations 1619-2019 - Michael Imhotep

Jay Z, Kaepernick, NFL, 'Inspire Change' apparel, Black Migrations 1619-2019 - Michael Imhotep Michael Imhotep host of The African History Network Show on 9-1-19 spoke with Jice Johnson about The Black Boss Summit. After that he spoke about Jay Z's deal with the NFL to design a new apparel line called "Inspire Change" and he'll also put on a series of concerts called "Songs of the Season". The really looks like a way to break the solidarity that top artist have with Colin Kaepernick's protest which is why many of them refused to perform at last year's Super Bowl. #JayZ #ColinKaepernick #1619Project #BlackMigrations www.BlackBossSummit.com

Also discussed is the 400 Year Anniversary of 1619 in Point Comfort Virginia where Africans were brought in into the colony of Virginia on August 20th, 1619. Codified Slave Laws didn't exist in any of the 13 colonies in 1619. Also, African people had already been in the U.S. for at least 51,700 years as Dr. David Imhotep's book "The First Americans Were Africans Documented Evidence" details.

Michael Imhotep discusses a recent segment from AM Joy with Joy Ann Reid from MSNBC regarding the Opioid Crisis and how because of Racism and Implicit Bias it is affecting African Americans to a much lesser extent.

Aug. 20th, 2019 marks the 400th year Anniversary of the "20 and odd Africans" who came into Point Comfort in what would later be called the colony of Virginia. This year is known as "The Year Of Return" as many African Americans are reconnecting to Africa and traveling to Ghana and other West African countries. When we discuss the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade we have to first understand that African people are the Original people of North, Central & South America & have been in the land we call U.S. at least 51,700 years. We can’t start studying our history in SLAVERY. Even when we study the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, which is important to study, we can’t start in 1619 or in the 1440s when the Portuguese get involved. We have to understand the history chronologically and deal with the 800 year occupation of Europe by the Africans known as the Moors who enter into the Iberian Peninsula, today known as Spain and Portugal, from North Africa in 711A.D. This course not only deals with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade but thousands of years of history that leads up to the Slave Trade of African people taking place.
