So even in the event one or two were reseals, it's unlikely they all were. Added to that all the boxes, manuals and cartridges are mint. Apart from the rusting staples, this is an issues that needs to be address right away if it happens to you.
However it appears this is an issues with sealed only games and might well be an issue with the lack of air flow in the seal. If this is the case then, you really don't want to leave games sealed in a air less flow for more than 25 years. Could also be Atari just used cheap non galvanized staples in their manuals or the conditionals the games have been stored in at some point have caused this issue.
Our editor Riven provides his commentary on what we have seen so far. If you do see any sign of rust on a staple then they need to be removed from the manual as soon as possible.
