The current housing market is failing us. People are being pushed out of their homes, neighborhoods and cities, because they can't afford to live there anymore. The financialisation of the housing market has become so entrenched, that small-scale solutions won't do the trick. It is time to radically reimagine the system that lies behind our housing market. What kind of alternatives already exist that could be scaled up or implemented elsewhere? What kind of alternatives can we imagine ourselves, when given the freedom to think outside of the current structures?
