Unreal Engine 4 Indie Game Devlog - Battling The Ancient Gods

Unreal Engine 4 Indie Game Devlog - Battling The Ancient Gods Hey everyone, in this video of my unreal engine 4 video game, I cover a few key things that I programmed last week. The very first thing I show you is the shopkeeper. I am not sure whether or not to make a full shopkeeper with currency or not because the flow of the game might be better without one. But I am not sure yet. So I built a super simple shopkeeper that just adds items to your inventory.

The next thing I cover is the day/night cycle and the gimbal lock. I sped up the day night cycle by about 100x to 500x what it will be in the game. This caused some performance issues, so it was just for demonstration purposes. There were some lighting issues at the first village as well that will have to be corrected too.

Lastly, I show you guys a very primitive version of the god Apollo. I got his design and animations working, however, his AI needs work. Like a lot of work. But all of this is getting easier as I keep practicing my skills in unreal engine 4, so hopefully apollo will be built quicker than hyperion the titan
