The lack of an effective health standard or initiative has seriously hurt the Texans. They couldn't run a block without getting winded. They couldn't scale a 2 foot wall without needing help. The people who need help for their obesity problems has gotten seriously out of control. Age is not really as much of a factor as the sugar-addiction problem. So, the obese are taking attention away from the aging populations. More kinds of peoples health ailments need to be ignored to give more attention to the obese. But there's a lot of money to make in peddling sugar-extracts. Many politicians have likely built their careers off sugar-extracts. Why would they turn their backs on the income that propped them up?
