Society wants you to feel:
*weak
*helpless
*full of self-pity
Are you letting the inputs in your life subconsciously create a martyr complex?
It happens. Slowly. Subtly.
Each day you don't take responsibility for your life, focus on improvement, focus on changing *what you can* about your situation, you're more susceptible to the fate of the masses.
What fate?
Not only are people falling into pits of self-pity
*They're proud of it*
Somehow it has become cool to be a loser.
Somehow it has become uncool to try and improve your own life
Better to blame anyone else but yourself.
Better to throw your hands up in the sky, swan dive into nihilism, and feel sorry for yourself for the rest of your life.
Listen carefully...
There is no VIRTUE in being weak. It's OK to FEEL weak. But there's no HONOR in it.
You don't get a special badge for feeling sorry for yourself.
You do, however, get this weird sense of pleasure and satisfaction from it. That's why you have to be careful. You can get addicted to feeling sorry for yourself. Once you're there, it's hard to escape.
Escape. Now.
