THE FIRST DAY OF WHEAT HARVEST 2019
A little later than usual, but wheat harvest has begun here at Shepherd Creek Farms. This year looks different, as we have the kids helping out!
Today’s video is the last minute preps on the equipment, but most importantly, on the grain cart tractor for yours truly…
We use a Cab Cam system, which is a camera that is mounted on the combine and videos the cart for me, the buggy driver, to know how full its getting.
We also have a bluetooth scale that runs on an Apple iPad app that is mounted in the cart tractor, but can be accessed by a smart phone in the combine…

It also was an exciting day as we finally got to fire up our new grain elevation system after months of building, and years of dreaming of having one!
