Women and men both have testosterone and estrogen! It’s all about balance — if your estrogen gets too high as a man, you may experience man boobs, depression, obesity, and more.
Are You Accidentally Raising Your Estrogen?
Drinking beer — it’s made from hops which is a phytoestrogen, and drinking more than 2 drinks a day may cause an issue.
Eating like crap — sugar + refined carbohydrates – fiber = junk is horrible for your testicles and testosterone with no fiber to bind to estrogen to eliminate it from the body.
Consuming beef, milk, and dairy — cows are given hormones to make them bigger and produce more. Eat organic or no hormone added. Check out bison because they aren’t given growth hormone.
Smoking weed — reduces sperm count and ability to get it up.
Being obese — aromatase activity is increased when you’re obese where it takes testosterone and converts it into estradiol resulting in a decrease in testosterone levels + increase in estrogen.
