Pokemon Red 721 is a ROM hack of the original Pokemon Red game that adds a ton of new Pokemon and moves from future generations, all in the beautiful 8 bit stylings of the original games! If you want to randomize your own save, check it out here:

Now what exactly is a Soul Link? Well allow me to explain! A Soul Link is a basically a special type of nuzlocke, with a cooperative twist!

Traditional Nuzlocke Rules:

1. You can only catch the FIRST Pokémon that you encounter on any given route/area. If you fail to capture this Pokemon for any reason, you forfeit that encounter.

2. If a Pokemon faints for any reason, that Pokemon is considered "dead" and must be released or put in the PC. This Pokemon cannot be used for the remainder of the playthrough.

3. All Pokemon must be nicknamed in order to form a closer bond (that will inevitably crush you when you lose your favorite Pokemon)

Special Soul Link Rules:

1. In a Soul Link, Rule 1 has a slightly different twist. Assuming both participants capture their encounters on a specific route, those Pokemon will be "linked" together for the remainder of the playthrough. Linked Pokemon must have different primary types, and must be opposite genders.

2. Because these Pokemon are linked, if one Pokemon in a pair faints (and is considered dead), the Pokemon linked with it meets the same fate.

3. If a player fails to capture their first encounter in an area, the second player must forfeit their encounter in their corresponding area.

4. When creating teams, primary typing cannot be repeated across EITHER player's game, in order to create as diverse teams as possible!
