Hong Kong’s grand plan to spice up the street food scene with food trucks has largely been a flop. Sixteen vehicles joined the scheme when it launched in 2017, but operators say they are barely able to make a profit because of regulations on where they can park and sell their food. The mobile eateries are confined to eight locations on a two-week rotation.
