The typical home selling transaction involves a listing agent (representing the Seller) and a Buyer’s agent (representing the Buyer).
Both the listing agent and the buyer’s agent are compensated by the Seller. This compensation is in the form of commission (which could cost potentially thousands of dollars) based on the sales price of the home. The Seller suffers a significant reduction of their net proceeds from the sale due to this high commission (i.e. less money in your pocket). Furthermore, with the traditional listing commission structure the Seller pays the entire commission regardless of who finds the buyer. That means the Seller pays the entire commission even if the Seller was the one that found the buyer. What Nonsense!!
