The Corona Virus was successfully grown In Doherty Institute Lab culture to assist world In making a future possible vaccine. The Corona Virus was taken from a Chinese man who returned to Melbourne. The Lab was able to grow the virus in a culture of monkey cells and then verified that it was indeed the Corona Virus. This is a necessary first step in creating a test for the virus and a Vaccine.
China would not share samples with the world for making a vaccine. The Australian lab will now share the samples with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other labs worldwide so that a vaccine may be produce.
