Rep. Jason Crow, a House impeachment manager, argued during the Senate impeachment trial that President Donald Trump put U.S. national security at risk when he withheld military aid from Ukraine. Crow, D-Colo., pointed to witness testimony that indicated U.S. aid to Ukraine is key to countering Russian aggression. “Protecting Europe from Russia is not political game,” Crow said, speaking during House Democrats’ arguments against Trump on Jan. 22. House managers, who act as prosecutors in the case, are presenting their arguments over three days before the White House presents its defense. The House of Representatives impeached Trump in December on two articles--abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate trial will determine whether Trump is convicted of those charges and removed from office, or acquitted.
