Twelve soldiers remanded in custody over theft of 19 R4 assault rifles Twelve soldiers will appear in court early January 2020 in connection with the disappearance of 19 R4 assault rifles from a military base near Pretoria earlier this week. They all work at the Lyttelton Tek Base's Engineering Formation HQ Unit. They were denied bail when they appeared in a military court last night. Contrary to earlier claims by the SA National Defence Union's Pikkie Greef, the investigating officer told the court that none of the weapons had been recovered
