Is your mind racing at night? Are you having racing thoughts or future tripping? Can't sleep because of anxiety? Up late into the night worrying about something? I feel you!

Calming down your mind is possible - no matter how fast your mind is racing. And yes - getting back to sleep is possible!

There's nothing like the pitch-black silence of the middle of the night to make us see things in a totally irrational light. Nighttime doesn’t offer the distractions that daytime does (such as other people, activity, and work), so our minds can easily go into overdrive unless we are careful. If your anxiety/worry/stress thought loop is anything like mine, you know that these thoughts simply don’t arise the same way during any other time of day.

But when you're in it and it's dark all around you - it's very real. Racing thoughts at night can make your feel powerless, scared and paralyzed. But the antidote is NOT reaching for your phone or turning on the TV (the light itself will wake up parts of your brain that you want to soothe).

The morning brings a totally fresh perspective. When I wake up, sit up, and recall my overactive worries, I roll my eyes and shake my head at myself. I try to remember this eye roll and head shake during my next 2 a.m. panic attack.

But in the middle of the night - I do what I say in this video!
