Arizona ranked third in percentage growth rate in 2019, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Arizona welcomed more than 120,000 plus residents from 2018 to 2019, a growth rate of nearly 1.7 percent. With a nearly 1.7 percent growth from July 2018 to July 2019, Arizona jumped from fourth to third-highest rate of growth in the nation.
The state also ranked third in the number of new residents with more than 120,000 plus newcomers.
Arizona's population is 7.28 million, this number was reached on July 1st, 2019. Per the U.S. Census Bureau.
