Goodbye is a gift.... saying goodbye is necessary to propel to the next stage in our lives!
Many times in our lives we associate saying goodbye with grief or sorrow... However, we must learn to see the blessing and the gift of saying goodbye! It may hurt (badly) and you may not realize it right away, but saying goodbye to that person, place or thing prepared you for a promotion!
We often hear that some people come into our lives for a reason or a season... But when it is time to say goodbye, we try to make our seasonal help full-time employees! Stop making seasonal help full-time employees! They came into your lives knowing that their job was seasonal! At the end that season... thank them for their services and the lessons you learned and let them exit!
It may be something you weren’t expecting. It may have caught you off guard. You may not understand it. But if you’ve done your part to walk in love and forgiveness, if you know in your heart you’ve done your best and the person walks away, it’s the gift of goodbye! Don’t give it back! Trust God and know that He has a plan for your life and the people that are necessary to help carry out the plan!
Listen, your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The Bible said, “They came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us.” [1John 2:19]
So if they were not part of the plan, they had to be a part of the problem! They could have been holding you back, stabbing you in the back or leading you to go back! At any rate, they had to leave because they were not purposed to stay!
Learn to appreciate the gift of goodbye... It is a blessing! You don’t understand the drama and trauma God has protected you from when that person, that place or that thing said goodbye! You need to give some folks the gift of goodbye this holiday season!
Sometimes when we are not strong enough to remove things in our lives, God will move them for us! Be grateful because He is ordering your steps and aligning you to walk in the place of blessing He has prepared just for you!
