Responding to That Pedal Show's Budget Challenge || Amp is more important than Pedals!! The challenge:
1 Amp
3 Pedals
1 Guitar
On a budget...
I think the guys at That Pedal Show missed a trick, although Mick was on the right path with the Boss Katana. Here are my picks for now....

Amp - Yamaha THR10 or Vox Adio - can be bought for £130 second hand
3 Pedals - Behringer Tube Overdrive (Tubescreamer) (£18.70), Donner Looper (£30), Ammoon Pockverb (Delay and Reverb) (£38) - POWER IT ALL with Harley Benton StompControl ISO 4 (£75)

Total so far = £291.70.

So that would keep me pretty happy in the tone department, not to mention you have loads of effects on board of either the THR10 or the Vox Adio.

In terms of what guitar I'd pick, I'm thinking you either go really budget and get something like a Yamaha Pacifica which are still well built, or you knock the budget up slightly for a Squier Classic Vibe or a Vintage Icon Strat/Tele.

Which would still get you in the budget of around £500. Realistically, I'd suggest that you don't necessarily need to go down the pedal route, so you could get a guitar at approx £200 and the THR or Adio for £130 to match Dan's budget and you'd have a bunch of great tones to choose from and an amp with a tuner......
