Now You Can Change Your ECU Without Worrying!

In this video I demonstrate how MHD will now flash the appropriate vin to you DME if you've upgraded from an MSD80 to an MSD81 ECU. This video is specific to an N54 powred BMW.

I demonstrate this on my 2008 BMW 335i. I had updated the DME to get deal with known issue on the MSD80. The MOSFET transistors that drive the injectors are known to fail and this MSD81 gets around that issue.

In the past MHD would write the original VIN to the DME even if you've overwritten it in Winkfp.

The intention of this video was to show you how to manually update the VIN using Tool32 part of the INPA software suite but I was in for a pleasant surprise when I found that the newest version of MHD actually writes the correct VIN.

I can now go for an emissions test and have the appropriate VIN pull up on the report.
