A governance expert lauds President duterte's decision to appoint a moro rebel leader as an envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Nur Misurai, chairman of the Moro National Liberation Front, was named as Special Economic Envoy on Islamic Affairs last Friday. For Father Eliseo Mercado Jr., a senior policy adviser at the Institute for Autonomy and Governance, this shows the importance the OIC has when it comes to the peace process in southern Mindanao.
