For live moss design, there are many factors to be taken into consideration. Clean and well incubated moss is one of the most crucial factor in ensuring long term survivability, compared to immediate transplantation from moss harvested from the wild or purchased from commercial stores.

As for watering, clean & slightly acidic water free from chlorine and excessive minerals / metallic compounds are applicable to wide range of moss. Spray lightly on their leaves instead of soaking and flooding the entire biome.

Moss usually stay vibrant when they are moist enough and turn pale when drier. Consistent humidity contribute to overall fluffiness and sponginess of live moss. You can touch them to judge their watering needs. Airtight vessel such as Chronopod-X usually require watering only once every 3-6 months.

Good in-door lighting ranging from 6 - 8 hours ensure the disease resistance of moss, especially towards fungus and bacteria biofilm formation.
