The San Diego Humane Society health report for Larry, this elderly amazon parrot, said he was fed hot Cheetos, junk food, and seed. Parrot Education and Adoption Center who Val Larry's foster mom and I volunteer for told us, Larry, needed to be rescued ASAP! Many birds like Larry are victims of the parrot crisis. From what we can tell, Larry's owner loved him but could no longer care for him. I am thankful I volunteer for a rescue that can provide the medical care, Larry, a Yellow Naped Amazon desperately needs. Please support Parrot Rescues and Sanctuaries so they can Save a Parrot like Larry.
If you do not know of a sanctuary in your area to support Parrot Education and Adoption Center is a good one! You can also write your donation to PEAC off of your taxes. They are a 501c3.
