China said it will increase the supply of pork ahead of Chinese New Year by releasing more frozen pork reserves. The Ministry of Agriculture said on Dec 17 that pork prices had fallen for four weeks in a row by late November. The government also said it is increasing efforts to encourage small farmers to resume pig production.
