Armenia's iconic Khor Virap monastery. Khor Virap Monastery is located near the border of Turkey and Armenia, with wonderful views of Mount Ararat. Khor Virap plays an integral role in the history of Armenia due to the legend of St. Gregory the Illuminator, the first Armenian Catholics. The monastery was host to a theological seminary and was the residence of Armenian Catholicos.
