An alternative forward view - Köflach to Graz - See the 159 year old driving gear in action.

An alternative forward view - Köflach to Graz - See the 159 year old driving gear in action. Once again we see world’s longest serving steam locomotive GKB No.671 in action. The footplate crew had already kindly allowed me to place a camera on the front of the locomotive, when one of them asked “if you place a camera here, it will film the motion gear in action”. I had to agree it would give a very different view, so I fixed a second camera as suggested. I had intended to mix the resulting footage with a “Passengers Eye View” of the trip, but after watching the video captured by the camera, I decided to upload the full journey, allowing viewers to pick and choose what they watch. I hope you enjoy this unusual camera angle.

The tour was organised by the Railway Touring Company – Track gauge 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in)
