The NFL has implemented strict rules throughout the years that have, at times, cut down entirely on fun, excessive touchdown celebrations.
Some of our favorite celebrations of all-time were banned not long after they were created. Oh, how we miss the dunking over the goal posts.
The thing is, some of the best TD celebrations in history didn’t just happen on the spot. The players and teams who made these “signature” celebrations famous have quite a back story to tell.
Maybe the league office should read more into the meaning behind these famous touchdown celebrations. Maybe they’ll understand why they’re so special and embrace them all again.
