When cats and water go together: Shifen Falls (十分瀑布) + Houtong Cat Village (猴硐貓村) | Keelung, Taiwan

Away from Taiwan’s bustling cities are many smaller, nature-related sights, where you can take a walk and have a breather from the cars and the crowds. About an hour and a half from Taipei city is the famous Shifen Waterfall (十分瀑布), roaring with beauty, and the surrounding town of Shifen Old Street. For a quiet stop with a unique atmosphere not too far from Taipei, this is a great place to come to. Take a walk, eat some street food, set flight a floating lantern – and then, of course, a stop at Houtong Cat Village (猴硐貓村) on the return journey.
