In this video I’ll compare two great 30mm rifle scopes, the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 and the Primary Arms SLX8 1-8x24 ACSS scope. Both scopes have illuminated reticles, capped 1/2 MOA turrets, and have 1-8x magnification. I compare the reticles in different environments on multiple targets. Target size, shape, drop, windage, and rangefinders. Vortex and Primary Arms both provide quality rifle scopes in the $400 to $500 price range. Watch this video to find out which piece of glass best suits your needs.
These are both great scopes for action shooting and 3 gun as well as normal shooting at the range. The 8x provides plenty of magnification from up close out to a couple hundred yards. The scopes are meant to have a long eye relief and are ideal with a 2” – 3” offset mount, see links below.
