These youngsters would prefer a good game over a medal! | Srihari and Sreeshwan

These youngsters would prefer a good game over a medal! | Srihari and Sreeshwan Youngsters these days are obsessed with good results. However, champions often give more importance to the quality of their play rather than the results. Srihari LR, the under-14 world silver medal winner when asked if he would prefer a good game or a medal, replied, "I would prefer a good game!"

When Sreeshwan was asked his favourite game from the tournament, he did not choose a win. In fact he chose the most painful draw of his chess career against Vo Pham Thien Phuc where he missed a mate in four. But that's what makes these kids special, they are always focused on the quality of their games and not with the eventual results or medals. Inspiring!
