The MCU is in a truly interesting place right now. Thanos fundamentally changed everything with his universe-altering snap and for five years, the people of Earth were left depressed and devastated over the loss of their friends and family. As Captain America said, some people move on, but not us. The world was plunged into darkness and despair, but that doesn’t mean it was all bad right? We actually think Thanos’s snap and the subsequent Blip may have been the launch pad for something truly great!
The Defenders, made up of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage left their mark on Netflix with their own standalone series, followed by a team-up event, then more standalone series. But due to Disney+ on the horizon, along with some other factors, all those shows have now been cancelled. But has the actions done by the Mad Titan offered a solution to bring those street-level heroes back into our lives? That’s what today’s theory is all about!
We currently have a Defenders-sized hole in our hearts right now the size of a Luke Cage’s bicep so maybe this theory is a bit of a stretch, but we won’t stop holding out hope to see these heroes again!
