Hong Kong has officially scrapped the controversial fugitive bill that sparked months of protests in the city. Also, on October 23, Hong Kong murder suspect Chan Tong-Kai was released after 18 months behind bars in Hong Kong. It’s still not known if Chan will be handed over to Taiwan.
