BREXIT DEAL: Jeremy Corbyn squirms as IDS confronts him on his attempt to get UK out of EU years ago

Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn was left squirming as Iain Duncan Smith challenged him on previous attempts to repeal the legislation binding the UK to the European Union while now campaigning to prevent the Government from delivering Brexit.

Mister Corbyn was confronted on his voting record as Tory Brexiteer Iain Duncan Smith pointed out the Labour leader once sponsored a bill aimed at repealing the 1972 European Communities Act.

The Opposition Leader has been spearheading attempts from minority parties to prevent Boris Johnson from clearing his Brexit deal through the Commons in time for the October 31 withdrawal deadline.
