Sailing around the world is an not endeavour to be taken lightly. It's hard work on both crew and sailboat. The realities of constant cruising are often depicted in glossy magazines as chilling in aqua waters, whilst anchored next to a private white sandy atoll. For many of us, the flip side is fixing our boats in those exotic destinations. One needs to be multi-skilled, have a well stocked workshop, and a Mr Fixit mindset to get themselves safely through the constant round of gear breakages. This week is one of those weeks, as we pull out all stops to repair our anchor winch with a cyclone hovering offshore.
