Jacob Rees-Mogg backs Boris Johnson over Parliament Brexit shut-down

Jacob Rees-Mogg has backed Prime Minister Boris Johnson following his decision to close Parliament for five weeks.

Brexiteer and Lord of the Council Jacob Rees-Mogg was one of three counsellors who met the Queen on behalf of the PM.

Boris' bold move to block MPs from sitting in Parliament for around five weeks over conference season will give rebels less time to launch new plots to stop us leaving on October 31.
