Overhead (in-place) Lunge (constrained) A great general exercise for Javelin Throwers, with the added challenge of overloading the eccentric portion of the lift. The goal is to create pressure around the right back hip to create stabilisation and consistency around a joint that contributes significantly to some of the KPIs which hugely influence the CRITICAL DETERMINANTS OF PERFORMANCE. It’s an exercise that when done correctly and executed efficiently can be progressed and varied with different angles of constraint (elastic in this case), complexed with something more specific.

Have a go, but importantly understand how to do it, why it’s done and critically the time of year to best utilise exercises of this category.
