Jammu & Kashmir's special status revoked, Why did it take 72 years? | The Newshour Debate (5th Aug)

On The Newshour Debate with Navika Kumar tonight, A historic course correction has taken place today. For 72 years Kashmir and Kashmiri's have only suffered the consequences of the political blunder by Pandit Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah. Article 35A which was inserted into the constitution through a presidential order in 1954. Home Minister Amit Shah announced in the Rajya Sabha today that the Centre's proposal to revoke the Article that separates Jammu and Kashmir from the rest of India and bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh into two separate Union Territories bringing an end to days of speculation spelling out the Centre's mission Kashmir.
