RIVERSIDE, CA – On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., Riverside Police Officers responded to a possible kidnapping attempt in the 6200 block of Rutland Avenue, located in the Arlanza neighborhood of Riverside. A teenage girl was walking on the sidewalk when a Hispanic man approached her from a parked vehicle. Moments later, the suspect grabbed the girl and attempted to force her in to the vehicle, then struck her with a metal object. She was able to fight off the suspect and run away. The suspect then got in his vehicle and fled.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult in his 30’s, 5’5” tall with a thin build, dark or tan skin, round face, clean shaven, and last seen wearing a charcoal gray T-shirt, black jeans, and tan work boots. (See Suspect Sketch)
He was seen driving away in a 2010 to 2013 white Toyota Tundra 4-door pickup, dark tinted windows, and unknown license plates.
