Rachel and Joe tied the knot at Cote How Lake District Weddings in July 2019 with a surprise wedding! Wedding guests arrived in the Lake District on the pretext that they were attending a surprise birthday party for Rachel organised by her sister.
Imagine their surprise when Rachel and Joe announced at breakfast that they were to marry in 3 hours time, "so get your glad rags on!"
Mayhem ensued as guests searched for "posh" clothes before boarding the bus to bring them to Cote How in Rydal.
Here they enjoyed refreshing Pimms and beers before strolling down to the barn for an even more relaxed and simple wedding ceremony followed by post ceremony drinks and canapes on the country house terrace.
The roars could be heard all over the valley as Joe and Rachel were pronounced husband and wife by the registrar and Joe dutifully kissed his bride!
