There are a lot of things Family Guy star Peter Griffin is known for, including his complete lack of impulse control, his inability to read properly and his ridiculous over the top schemes. While he’s not exactly known for being parent of the year, there have definitely been some times over the course of the series where he has been a good father or, at least, a better one than he usually is. We’ll take a look at some of the rare moments in which this character showed off his parenting skills, whether or not they were well received. There’s the time he stopped his friend Glenn Quagmire from hitting on Meg Griffin, only to later mess things up between her and her celebrity crush Luke Perry. He even goes to Washington in order to fight against the cigarette company that convinced baby Stewie Griffin to start smoking. We’ll also talk about some relatively nice moments between him and his son, Chris Griffin. Family relationships can be complicated and then there’s whatever is going on between Peter and his sister Karen Griffin.

Can you remember any more heartwarming moments between this fictional patriarch and the members of his dysfunctional family? Hey, say what you will, but you can’t spell “dysfunctional” without “fun!” Share some of your favorite parental bonding moments in the comments section and don’t forget to click on the subscribe button for the latest and greatest videos from us here at CBR.
