REDRUM - Deconstructing Neil Peart - Tom Sawyer - Isolated Drums with reference music

REDRUM - Deconstructing Neil Peart - Tom Sawyer - Isolated Drums with reference music Neil Peart's Drum Part for Tom Sawyer reverse engineered one note at a time to reveal Neil's drumming note for note with background reference music so you can hear how the programmed drums work perfectly with the original studio track.

The sequencing was done in Cubase 9.5 after importing the original studio track into Cubase and then carefully mapping the tempo track until it lined up as closely as possible to the ebb and flow of the original song. I then painstakingly programmed each and every drum and cymbal hit into the sequencer. It was a long and arduous process that took roughly 8 hours to complete.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT supposed to replicate Neil's drum kit or the number of drums and cymbals in any way. Rather, think of it more like how a real drummer might play the song on his own kit with whatever drums and cymbals are available. In this case it's a kit with 11 toms, two kicks, snare, and lots of cymbals.

I custom built the kit from a ToonTrack Metal Foundry preset as the starting point.
