Was a bit puzzling, but I think the general idea is that they need the old computer to run the supposed legacy code. And hey, they just happen to find the exact computer CONVENIENTLY LOCATED near them. Foreshadowing much? Really enjoy the back and forth between Rintarou and Kurisu as well
