The new administrative center of Shymkent city takes quite a spacious area and is located in the future downtown as the city is rapidly growing and spreading. There are several significant attractions comprising a huge public unit of cultural and educational buildings. The central location is occupied by the city hall and the mayor's office. It's a high rise building which overviews a vast square with a fountain astern and a rosary abaft. The two buildings in the immediate vicinity of the City Hall are the Exhibition Center, which hosts a wide range of events and activities, and the Central Library, which is proud of its unique collection of rare books.
The two impressive buildings to complete the unit are the Kazakh Drama Theatre and the Concert Hall. There are several reasons why this spot appeals to me. Firstly, it's a15-minute walk away from my house. Secondly, it provides a lot of space for cycling, skating and rollerblading. The rosary is a wonderful spot for morning walks and exercise, especially in the blooming season. And to wrap it up, its safe and well lit at night. Welcome to Shymkent.
