4 Ways to STOP WASTING Money on Application fees

1. Know where you are applying to. Is it a Property Management company, Real estate Agent or a private owner? Each will have different requirements and the first 2 rental criteria will be higher.

2. Know what the rental criteria’s are before you apply. To make sure you will qualify. Do they require Good or Excellent Credit? Do you need to make 3 times the amount of rent? What is the deposit? Do they require first and last + deposit?

3. When showing up to an open house if there are a lot of applicants applying for only 1 unit, perhaps hold off and inquire back within a week if the unit is still available. This way you are not paying an application fee like a whole bunch of people.

4. If there is NO open house still find out how many people have already applied to each of the rentals you are interested in. If they already have a lot of applicants it may not be worth you putting in an application.
