The relationship between Kenya and China is one that is strategic and we are firm at deepening it and that why President Uhuru Kenyatta held a bilateral talk with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma said today in Beijing on the sidelines of Second Belt and Road Forum (BRF).
She added that already there are Chinese investors in Kenya in infrastructure, food security among others.
Ms Juma said that Kenya securing another loan to extend standard gauge railway (SGR) from Naivasha to Kisumu isn’t a priority for the government but optimizing on the already built infrastructure noting that President Kenyatta’s is concern with establishing a Special Economic Zone in Naivaisha.
